How this guide was prepared

This guide was prepared from HighFlow's campaign-readiness process and public Meta platform guidance. Account interfaces and feature names can change; verify current settings inside the client's own business assets before launch.

1. Confirm the commercial test before building campaigns

An ad account cannot repair an unclear product, weak margin or unavailable stock. Define the business question and the conditions for a useful answer before choosing campaign settings.

  • Product and offer

Name the product, audience problem, price, promotion and reason to act. Check that the landing page presents the same promise and conditions as the creative.

  • Margin and budget context

Record product margin, fulfilment costs, payment failures, returns and the approved test budget. Do not set a target from another brand's screenshots.

  • Stock and fulfilment

Confirm sellable inventory, delivery coverage, realistic delivery times and support capacity. Pause scale when operations cannot absorb additional orders.

  • Decision and review window

State what the test is intended to learn, who can approve changes and when evidence will be reviewed. Avoid changing audience, creative and offer simultaneously without a reason.

2. Keep Meta assets client-owned and access controlled

The business should retain control of the portfolio, ad account and data sources used for its campaigns. Agency access should be granted through supported partner or user permissions rather than shared credentials.

  • Business portfolio

Confirm the correct business portfolio controls the Facebook Page, Instagram account, ad account and catalogue required for the campaign.

  • Ad account and billing

Check account status, currency, timezone, payment method and spending controls. Record who can resolve billing or policy issues.

  • Page and Instagram identity

Connect the intended public identities and review profile information, messages and recent content customers may inspect after seeing an ad.

  • Least-privilege access

Give each person the minimum role required, protect logins with strong authentication and review old partners or users before launch.

3. Verify measurement, consent and catalogue inputs

Measurement should help explain customer behaviour without exposing personal details or pretending every reported conversion has perfect attribution. Test the agreed events before media spend becomes the diagnostic tool.

  • Dataset and events

Confirm the intended dataset or Pixel is connected to the correct domain and receives the agreed storefront events. Use test actions to check event names, parameters and duplication.

  • Purchase integrity

Complete a test order and compare browser, server and commerce records when those signals are in scope. Keep names, emails and other prohibited customer details out of event payloads.

  • Consent and privacy

Make the site's consent behaviour and privacy disclosure match the actual analytics and advertising setup in the markets being targeted.

  • Catalogue health

For catalogue campaigns, review item IDs, titles, prices, availability, links and images against the live store. Fix rejected or mismatched items before scaling.

4. Prepare creative and landing-page learning

Creative variation is useful when each version tests a clear angle. The landing page must continue the same decision instead of forcing the visitor to reinterpret the product after the click.

  • Creative inputs

Use accurate product footage or images, a clear opening, readable captions and truthful claims. Confirm music, creator content and supplied assets can legally be used.

  • Distinct test angles

Separate meaningful customer angles such as use case, objection or offer. Cosmetic edits alone may not explain why performance changes.

  • Message match

Keep product, price, discount, delivery promise and call to action consistent between the ad and the final landing page.

  • Mobile landing path

Test page speed, product options, cart, checkout, payment and confirmation on a real mobile viewport before purchased traffic arrives.

5. Define launch, optimisation and scale boundaries

Campaign activity should produce a documented decision, not constant motion. Agree which signals can trigger a change and which business constraints can stop or limit spend.

  • Pre-launch review

Read the final campaign, destination, budget, schedule, audience settings, placements, tracking and creative together. A second reviewer should check material changes.

  • Learning record

Record the hypothesis, version, dates, spend context and relevant storefront changes so later conclusions are not based on memory.

  • Scale gate

Increase spend only when the offer, inventory, fulfilment, measurement and landing experience can support it. Revenue in the platform alone is not proof of healthy margin or capacity.

  • No guaranteed outcome

Meta delivery, auctions and customer behaviour are outside an agency's control. Treat projections as planning inputs and report uncertainty instead of guaranteeing ROAS, sales or revenue.

Use the finding, not the whole checklist

Choose the highest-risk unresolved item, assign an owner and review the result before expanding the scope.
